Cyprus is an island in the eastern Mediterranean and is popular for the international Business hub. Due to modem legal and tax regime, it motivates people to invest in their business. So, if you want to invest in their business and want to stay there, then you need to apply for a residence permit.

In order to get the residence permit, then you need to hire a lawyer in Paphos who will guide you with the visa and immigration process. As per the law, if you are an EU citizen, then you will receive the permit easily by just filling the immigration form for formalities.

But if you are a non-EU citizen then you have to follow the procedure mentioned below:

  • Temporary Resident Permit: This is also known as a PINK SLIP. If you are planning to stay in Cyprus for 90 days then you need to apply for the temporary resident permit which is usually issued for the 1 year. You need to renew this pink slip within one month prior to your current permit.

This temporary resident permit allows you to stay in Cyprus as per the permit and you are not allowed to leave Cyprus for at least 3 consecutive months. Otherwise, this would lead to the cancellation of your permit and you will have to apply again.  You will get the permanent resident permit only if you have stayed on the island for the 5 consecutive years.
